At Sour Apple Repair, located at 901 Harvey Road, Unit A, College Station, Texas, we prioritize the security and satisfaction of our customers. This Repair Terms of Service outlines our commitment to you when you entrust your device to us for repair. By using our services, you agree to the following terms:
1. Data Privacy and Security
We understand the importance of your data privacy. All our employees are trained and regularly updated on data safety and privacy protection. We implement strict protocols to keep your private information safe and secure during the repair process. At your request, we can also wipe your device before repair and restore your data afterward.
2. Repair Process Transparency
At Sour Apple Repair, all our repairs are conducted in a visible, open space, allowing you to see what’s happening to your device at any time. There are no hidden backroom repairs, ensuring full transparency.
3. Repair Recording and Timeline Access
For full transparency and to maintain high service standards, we record every repair we perform. You have the right to request access to the complete repair timeline and any associated data at any time. Once your repair is complete, this data is securely archived in our storage. Please note that this repair data remains the property of Sour Apple Repair and is stored solely for internal use to ensure quality and service verification.
4. Quotes and Repair Approval
Before beginning any repairs, we will provide you with an estimate of the repair costs based on your device’s condition. Once you approve the quote, we will begin the repair. If we discover that the repair will exceed the quoted cost, we will notify you and obtain your consent before proceeding. Time estimates for repairs are approximate and do not create binding obligations.
5. Device Passcodes
To fully diagnose and repair your device, we may require your device’s passcode. If you are not comfortable sharing this, we can proceed with diagnostics, but we will not be able to complete a full functional check until you provide the passcode or return to the store, which may delay the repair process. If you mail your device to us, you will be responsible for any additional shipping costs incurred if we are unable to fully service your device due to a missing passcode.
6. Device Abandonment
If we are unable to contact you after your device has been repaired, we will continue to make reasonable efforts to notify you. However, if your device is not collected within 60 days from the date we first notify you, Sour Apple Repair reserves the right to consider the device abandoned and may dispose of or resell it at our discretion without further notice or liability.
7. Data Backup Responsibility
We strongly recommend that you back up all data, software, and applications on your device before bringing it in for repair. Sour Apple Repair is not responsible for the loss or corruption of any data or software on your device. We do offer data backup and restore services at your request.
