Protection Plan Service Agreement Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: February 20, 2025
1. Introduction
This Service Contract Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal contract between you ("Customer" or "You") and Sour Tech("We," "Us," or "Our") regarding the Sour Tech iPhone Protection Plan ("Plan"). By enrolling in the Plan, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
🚨 Not an Insurance Product 🚨
This Plan is NOT an insurance product and does not replace insurance coverage. It is a membership-based protection plan owned and operated by Sour Tech, providing access to repair services for covered accidental damage and mechanical failures at Sour Tech service locations.
2. Definitions
- Covered Device: The eligible iPhone enrolled in the Plan.
- Accidental Damage: Unintentional physical damage caused by drops, falls, or spills.
- Mechanical or Electrical Failure: Malfunctions due to defects in materials or workmanship.
- Sour Tech Service Center: Authorized locations where covered repairs can be performed.
- Lost or Stolen Devices: NOT covered under this Plan.
3. Coverage Activation & Term
Activation Process (Coverage Does NOT Start Immediately)
Coverage begins only after the following activation steps are completed:
- Welcome Activation Email Sent – After purchasing the Plan, you will receive an activation email with instructions.

Required Activation Steps:
- Submit your Device Serial Number / IMEI via the activation link.
- Upload an image of your device to confirm its current condition.
- Pending Status Until Activation is Completed – Until these steps are completed, your Plan remains inactive, and no claims can be processed.
- Final Activation Confirmation – Once Sour Tech verifies your submission, you will receive an email confirming coverage activation.
Your device is NOT covered until this activation process is successfully completed.
Plan Term

Monthly Plan: Automatically renews each month until canceled.
- After two (2) consecutive payment failures, we reserve the right to cancel the Agreement.
- Annual Plan: Covers 12 months from the date of purchase.
4. Coverage Details
This Plan covers repairs only for the Covered Device and includes:
✅ Unlimited Screen Repairs (Accidental damage to the screen only)
✅ Unlimited Battery Repairs (When battery health drops below 80%)
✅ Other Repairs (Mechanical/electrical failures based on device value tier)
✅ Repairs Available Only at Sour Tech Locations (Walk-in or mail-in service)
✅ 25% Discount on Select Accessories (Cases & screen protectors)
❌ What’s NOT Covered
🚫 Lost or Stolen Devices – If your phone is lost or stolen, this Plan does NOT provide a replacement.
🚫 Intentional Damage or Misuse – Damage due to reckless handling, neglect, or intentional harm is not covered.
🚫 Cosmetic Damage – Scratches, dents, or discoloration that do not affect device functionality are excluded.
🚫 Unauthorized Repairs – Repairs performed by any provider other than Sour Tech void coverage.
🚫 Water Damage Beyond Screen & Battery Repairs – Liquid damage affecting internal components may not be covered.
5. Service Fees & Deductibles
For each approved service request, you will be required to pay a deductible based on the value of your device:

6. Service Process
To request a repair:
1️⃣ Contact Sour Tech Support: Visit https://itsourtech.com/support or call [Customer Support Number].
2️⃣ Approval Required: Provide device details and confirm eligibility before any repair can be performed.
3️⃣ Choose Repair Method:
- Walk-In Service: Visit a Sour Tech Service Center for repair.
- Mail-In Service: Ship your device to Sour Tech using provided instructions.
7. Cancellation & Refunds

Customer Cancellation: You may cancel at any time by contacting Sour Tech Support.
- Within 30 Days: Full refund if no claims have been made.
- After 30 Days: A prorated refund will be issued based on the remaining term, minus any claims paid.

Sour Tech Cancellation: We may cancel your Plan under the following conditions:
- If your device is no longer eligible for coverage.
- If fraud or misrepresentation is detected.
- If two (2) consecutive monthly payments fail, we reserve the right to cancel your Plan immediately.
8. Transferability
- The Plan is tied to the registered device and cannot be transferred to another device or owner unless explicitly approved by Sour Tech upon request.
- If you purchase a new device, you must enroll in a new Plan unless Sour Tech grants a transfer.
9. Limitation of Liability
- Sour Tech's liability is limited to repair or replacement of covered components under this Agreement.
- We are not responsible for any loss of data that occurs during a repair.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of [Your State/Country] without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Arbitration
Any disputes arising under this Agreement will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the [Arbitration Organization].
12. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Sour Tech regarding the Protection Plan and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings.
🚨 IMPORTANT: This Plan does NOT cover lost or stolen devices. Sour Tech is not responsible for replacing devices under these circumstances. 🚨
🚨 Coverage does NOT begin until activation is completed by the customer, including IMEI, serial number, and image submission. Pending activation = no coverage. 🚨
